The construction began on 19 August 1997 and was completed in 2000. It was officially opened on 30 April 2001 by the 34th Sultan of Perak, Almarhum Sultan Azlan Shah and thus the bridge was officially named Jambatan Raja Pemaisuri Bainun after Tuanku Bainun of Perak. The bridge is located in Manjung District in Perak. The bridge has 1246m in length, of which 930m span over the Dinding River. This Bridge links Kampung Baharu, Seri Manjung, Sitiawan in Manjung District, south of Manjung River with areas such as Damai Laut, Teluk Senangin, Pantai Remis, Segari located at the northern side of the river. via YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKWgpkZpI0M
