The word is a manifestation of the fears we hold as a species regarding disease. Nature already does a great job cultivating her own diseases, with diseases such as H5N1, Smallpox, and Spanish Flu. However, man can adopt or even change such diseases to his benefit, and I by benefit, I mean harm someone else. Bioterrorism has even changed history. The Black Death was introduced to Europe by way of the Mongols as a bioweapon. So, in a modern world where someone can get halfway across the world in a matter of hours, how deadly would a modern bioterrorist attack be? The scenario, being a global scenario, does not take place in just the United States. The Alert Ready system in Canada is also mentioned. Also featured in this scenario is a news studio broadcast I developed via PowerPoint, so this is a first in terms of scenarios for me. Like some of my other EAS scenarios, this could be deemed controversial, and somewhat disturbing, but keep in mind that I'm not trying to push an agenda.
