No Band 12 LTE in Miami Beach for iPhone 6S? I... | T-Mobile Support
support.t-mobile.com
HOW TO CHECK WHICH LTE BAND YOUR IPHONE IS USING
If you have an iPhone (any model), and are seeing LTE reception, there is a built-in iOS tool that will show you which LTE band you are connected to.
Go to the phone dialer, and dial the following: *3001#12345#*
Then, press the green dial button
You will enter an app called FIELD TEST. Look for SERVING CELL INFO. Look for FREQ BAND INDICATOR. This will be the number of the LTE band that you are using at that moment. For most users in the Miami area, you will probably see the number 4. This is LTE Band 4, the AWS band. This is not the super LTE band that T-Mobile has been promoting as the second coming of Jesus. That is Band 12. If you see a 12 there, you are on that super LTE network. But, I am guessing that most of you will see Band 4, which means your iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus is not benefitting from the Band 12 network. If you are on a older iPhone (6, 5S, 5, 4S, 4, etc), your phone does not support Band 12.
