Keyboard First
Saving a page should not mean reaching for the mouse. histre is built so the common actions are a keystroke away and every screen can be worked with the keyboard alone.
The command palette
Tap Shift twice on any web page and the histre command palette opens: save the page, add a note, save all tabs, mark it to read later, search, open a collection. Start typing to filter the commands, press Enter to run one. Only a bare tap counts, so typing capitals will not open it. Prefer a different key? In the extension settings, press Set a custom keyboard shortcut to bind the palette to any combination your browser allows, and turn the double tap off if you no longer want it.
Your own shortcuts
The same browser shortcuts page lets you pick the key that opens the histre popup. The default is Ctrl+Shift+H. In the web app, / focuses search.
No mouse required
Menus, forms and lists in the web app and the extension can all be reached and operated from the keyboard, and they are labelled for screen readers. One of the people who builds histre uses it that way every day.
