In 2013, that was the case for many, but for those in the midwestern United States, tragedy struck a week and a half before thanksgiving. Over the course of less than 10 hours, 73 tornadoes touched down across the United States, including multiple significant to violent tornadoes; including the Washington EF4 Tornado, the New Minden EF4 Tornado, the Brookport EF3 Tornado, the Lafayette EF3 Tornado, and an EF2 tornado just outside of Toledo, Ohio. The outbreak was devastating, and one of the worst outbreaks to occur in the month of November. Despite the mass devastation and the near record breaking status the outbreak has, the outbreak has been overshadowed (At least in terms of outbreaks that get requests on my channel), overlooked by the Moore EF5 tornado, and the El Reno EF3 from earlier that year. Due to the extreme circumstances regarding the status of the outbreak, specifically it's synopsis and it occurring in MID NOVEMBER, I feel like there's enough reason to take a deep dive into the November 17, 2013 Tornado Outbreak.
