"YMMV, but contact: https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/districts/municipalities.asp Find your reps in your mun. and CALL ALL OF THEM==>LEAVE VOICEMAIL WITH YOUR CONCERNS AND CONTACT INFO, including EMAIL==>if they have an email, EMAIL THEM, TOO (you should do this regardless so you have a ready-script to say in case you need to repeat said script when they/their team calls you back, and also so you can forward them the same thing (‘cuz they most likely’ll ask). Consistency is key (imo), & that’s how I got a callback from someone within a week. They should inform you that they’ll bump up the “priority” to escalate your claim since they “know the ‘higher-ups’ at the NJDOL.” AFAIK, this method is a way to at least ensure that you’ll speak to someone with the right channels. I’m not the only one who has undergone this strategy, and likewise, suggested it. But also, you know. Keep trying the NJDOL # and also, make sure you submit an inquiry via the online contact form: I hope you get through!" #consistency #best_of #grit #patterns_i_need_to_cultivate #unemployment #persistance #toread #pub

"I’ve been claiming for a while now but only recently have I gotten this message. (My day is Thursday but I figured I would try again today in case it was a server issue). “Your certification cannot be processed. Your claim indicates that you have returned to work. You are required to reopen your unemployment insurance claim at myunemployment.nj.gov and select "File or Reopen Your UI Claim". If you have not returned to work, please contact a Reemployment Call Center." I haven’t returned to work. Any ideas on what to do?" #consistency #covid19 #new_jersey #patterns_i_need_to_cultivate #persistance #unemployment #toread #pub

More Than $28 Billion in Benefits Delivered to New Jersey Workers "The American Rescue Plan signed March 11 extends Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) and Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) – the $300 supplement – to eligible claimants for 25 weeks, through Sept. 4. The maximum eligibility for PUA is now 75 weeks. PEUC now provides up to 49 weeks of additional benefits to those who exhaust 26 weeks of state unemployment. Extended benefits (EB) adds 13 weeks. The $300 FPUC supplement is for anyone collecting unemployment in any amount during eligible weeks. There is also a provision in the new rescue law that excludes the first $10,200 of unemployment benefits from having to be reported as income on federal taxes for households earning less than $150,000/year.
