The Mac app is one time purchase per new version. In ~2020, DEVONthink 3 came out. That is when DEVONthink Go for iOS and iPadOS became a much better and properly useable app. It is a SaaS model, but has a lifetime purchase possibility too. I was able to get the lifetime price for half or more than half off because of buying the previous DEVONthink Go version
